Thinly slice the onions (and mushrooms if adding).
Add the onions (and mushrooms if adding) to a pan.
Crack on the salt and pepper depending on preference.
Sprinkle on the garlic powder and red pepper flakes (optional).
Add in the butter and Worcestershire, and then set your burner to “2”.
Cook as low as possible for as long as possible, stirring more often in the beginning to evenly coat the onions.
After around 30 minutes, they should be deeply golden brown and ready to top your burgers or steaks!
