Oven-Roasted Broccoli - My Go-To Side Dish

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2/4 tsp. cracked salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Cut the head of broccoli into small broccoli florets. (Tip: The smaller they are, the more tender they will be!)
  • Add them to a bowl and drizzle in oil, and then add spices to taste. (My measurements are a rough estimate.)
  • Give the broccoli a good toss and then spread it out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until desired. I prefer mine to be a little charred/crispy.
  • Pair with your main dish or add to pastas, stir-fries, etc.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

GLUTEN-FREE SUBSTITUTIONS: For those of you who need it, I always like to talk about substitutions to make a meal gluten-free. For this one,  there is no need for GF substitutions, as it is naturally gluten-free!
