I love smoking food, I really love Bourbon, and I absolutely love Bacon. To take things to the next level, let’s add them in to some brownies??? As I am typing this, I still can’t believe how amazing these are and highly recommend you give them a try!!
Now don’t worry, you don’t need a smoker to make these (I am sure they are just as good baking in the oven). What you do need though is to make sure you use candied bacon and serve them with some vanilla ice cream. SOO what are you waiting for?? Give these a try and let me know how they turn out!!!
Smoked Bacon Bourbon Brownies

Servings: 6 People
Ingredients
- 2 C Flour (Regular or Gluten-Free)
- 1 C Brown Sugar
- Caramel Sauce
- Sea Salt
- 6 Large Eggs
- 1 C Powdered Sugar
- 4 T Water
- ¼ C Bourbon
- 1 C Canola Oil
- 1 ½ C Cocoa Powder
- 2 T Coffee Grounds
- 6 Slices Bacon
- 3 C Sugar
Instructions
For the Candied Bacon
- Add the bacon to to a baking sheet and coat with brown sugar
- Turn on your smoker, preheat to 225 degrees and then smoke the bacon for 1 hour
For the Brownies
- Preheat your smoker (or oven) to 400 degrees
- In a large mixing bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together. Next add the eggs, oil, and water and mix until combined
- Pour half of the mixture into a cast iron pan (or baking dish if cooking in oven). Drizzle with caramel. Pour the second half of the batter and drizzle a little more caramel
- Chop up the bacon and sprinkle over the top of the brownie batter
- Smoke (or bake) the brownies for roughly 1 hour, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean
- Enjoy!!!
