Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Sweet and tender bone-in pork chops even this kids will like!

I don’t cook pork chops enough. The odd part is I really enjoy them once their cooked. It really boils down to not knowing enough enough recipe variations and also finding one that the kids can enjoy too (pro tip – we still tell them it’s chicken lol).

Last night we tried out a very simple version combining the sweetness and stickiness of honey (which the kids will love) and the aroma of garlic (which we love). This meal is extremely easy and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. We paired it with some honey garlic asparagus and mashed potatoes. Hope you enjoy!

Instructions

  • Place pork chops on cutting board, cover with plastic wrap, and tenderize on both sides
  • Season the pork with the salt, pepper and garlic and heat the oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. Pre heat the oven to low broil
  • Once the oil is hot, add the pork and sear on both sides until nice and golden (4-5mins per side). Once done, transfer to a plate and set aside
  • Reduce the heat to medium , melt the butter and add in the garlic cooking until fragrant (30 seconds)
  • Add the honey and water and increase the heat back to medium high. Continue to cook until the sauce has reduced by about half (3 minutes)

  • Serve with any veggie and starch of your choice! (we did honey asparagus and mashed potatoes)! Enjoy!
