My take on one of the most popular (and delicious) types of grilled chicken wings!
Not everyone enjoys the spicy sting of my dry rub wing (see what I did there!)… So similar to the reason why I spent so much time creating the dry rub wings (see post here) I needed a local version of garlic parmesan wings as well. As you continue to check out my cooking, you will quickly find out I am a HUGE fan of garlic. I add to it almost everything I cook, so naturally these wings are a favorite of mine.
This recipe will give you a nice balance of a that perfectly buttery, parmesany, garlicy wing you are looking for…but will back it up with the salt and pinch of spice needed to round out the flavor profile. Hope you enjoy!
Garlic Parmesan Wings
Equipment
- Grill / Smoker
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken Wings (trimmed)
Rub
- 1 ½ T Salt
- 1 T Garlic Powder
- ½ T Pepper
- 1 t Olive Oil
Garlic Parmesan Coating
- 4 Cloves Minced Garlic
- 2 T Chopped Parsley
- ½ C Parmesan Cheese
- 4 T Melted Butter
Instructions
- Mix the salt, pepper and garlic salt together
- Pre-heat your grill to 300-325 degrees
- Rinse and dry the wings, then evenly coat with the olive oil
- Toss the wings in a large mixing bowl with the rub mixture
- Add wings to the grill cooking each side until lightly crisp (5 mins per side)
- (optinal step) turn up the heat to get additional charring on the wings
- Melt the butter and mix in the parsley, garlic, and parmesan
- Toss the wings and enjoy!
